About SRI and CTL
Since 1946, SRI International's mission has been to promote and foster the application of science in the development of commerce, trade, and industry and in the improvement of the peace and prosperity of society. A nonprofit corporation headquartered in Silicon Valley, SRI has helped invent technologies including the computer mouse, Technicolor, the telephone modem, the Internet, and robotic telesurgery.
The Center for
Technology in Learning (CTL) is a world-renowned independent
research organization within SRI focused on design, evaluation,
and implementation of educational technologies. Our staff,
including psychologists, computer scientists, anthropologists,
and educators, conducts innovative research and development
for clients such as the World Bank, the National Science Foundation,
the U.S. Department of Education, LEGO, Sun Microsystems,
and the Commonwealth of Virginia.
